Peggy officiated our wedding, and did a wonderful job learning about us and incorporating this into the service. She was super friendly, did a nice job of making the ceremony relaxed, reflective of us, and beautiful! It felt personal and she brought love and attention to her role. We fully recommend her! My wife and I were absolutely blown away by how amazing our officiant Peggy was throughout our ceremony and planning stages. Her husband even translated the ceremony to spanish for a few family members in attendance who would have otherwise missed key moments in our vows. Read more “Boris F.”

Peggy Farmer is a worldly, intuitive, and personable officiant with a wide-ranging and impressive background. She became an ordained minister with the Alliance of Divine Love in 2006 and has had the pleasure of officiating many weddings all over the U.S. and England. She loves facilitating weddings that create harmony and joy with family and friends, and she truly cherishes the experience of creating sacred ceremonies for couples that will serve as touchstones for the rest of their lives.

Peggy was raised Catholic, and after studying yoga and meditation in India, exploring shamanism in Peru, and experiencing Native American spirituality, she has come to the conclusion that LOVE is the most important facet of any spiritual path. She is happily married to her wonderful husband Hector of 25 years, and they enjoy living in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.

Peggy completed her undergraduate work in Psychology and Anthropology at the University of South Florida while working as an EMT/firefighter. She then spent six months in rural Haiti doing field work on protein malnutrition, which deepened her passion for ameliorating the suffering of others. She went on to work in the mental health and public health fields, where she completed her Ph.D. in Nutrition and Holistic Health, worked as a therapist, and became the president of the American Heart Association. She is the author of "Exploratory Surgery of the Soul, A Journey to Self Mastery," and she has certifications in Meditation and Conflict Resolution. In addition to officiating weddings, she currently works as an executive coach serving various non-profits, corporations, and universities. And this is just the short version of her accomplishments!

Peggy brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to every couple she works with, and we are so privileged to have her on our team at Asheville Marriages. It would be an honor and a pleasure for her to guide you through this very important time in your life!
